Board of the German Society for Internal Medicine

On May 1, 1957, the Executive Board of the German Society of Internal Medicine signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the Society of Internal Medicine, over 2,500 participants gathered for its 64th congress in the Rhein-Main-Hallen in the spring of 1957.

Among other things, remedies for common diseases as well as special medical cases were discussed. Under the supervision of the chairman of the congress, Hansen, the participants learned about clinical pictures and their treatment options in more than 100 lectures over four days.

The final highlight of the event was the invitation to the town hall. Among numerous expressions of praise for Wiesbaden as a venue, the congress board signed the city's Golden Book.

The Lord Mayor thanked the medical experts and was pleased with the decision to hold the congress in the spa town again in 1958 under the leadership of the new President Reinwein.
