Education for sustainable development in Wiesbaden

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD for short) is seen as the key to implementing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The 17 goals encompass ecological, social and economic action and thus all three dimensions of sustainability.

In Wiesbaden, a large number of stakeholders are working on the topic of ESD. The Wiesbaden ESD Network is a voluntary association of predominantly non-profit clubs, associations, foundations and initiatives as well as municipal institutions in Wiesbaden and the surrounding area and institutions of the state of Hesse.

The environmental office of the state capital Wiesbaden is committed to sustainably protecting and improving the nature and environment of the city area. For example, the environmental advisory service provides information and advice on various environmental topics and thus encourages sustainable and climate-friendly action.
