Wiesbaden Committed! - Action Week 2025

In the 21st "Wiesbaden Engagiert!" campaign week from September 12 to 19, 2025, teams from companies and institutions can once again do good.

Three people are working in an overgrown garden area, with wheelbarrows and axes. They are all wearing white T-shirts with Wiesbaden-Engagiert printed on them.

During the campaign week, companies and businesses in Wiesbaden give their employees a day off so that they can get actively involved in a variety of projects - in the areas of social affairs, culture or nature conservation. Institutions, associations and initiatives in turn look for partners from the business world to help them implement their desired projects.

Cooperation at eye level

The teams come together on a project exchange. Or they are put in touch with each other via an online database. After a joint planning phase, the teams get to work during the campaign week, beautifying the outside area of a school playground, painting walls in a day care center for the elderly, helping at a children's party or accompanying an excursion for people with disabilities. Valuable know-how can also be donated.

Patron and Lord Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende will officially open the campaign week on September 12. An after-work party is planned for all those involved at the end of the week of commitment.

20 years of commitment

In 2024, the "Wiesbaden Engagiert!" campaign week celebrated its 20th anniversary. What began with a single day of action in 2005 has since become an integral part of Wiesbaden. In the anniversary year, a new record number of committed employees was reached. The "Wiesbaden Engagiert" campaign week is the largest initiative of its kind in Europe.
