During the Hessian vacations, the open area of the district center remains closed, because then the caregivers have time to experience great things with the children.

Various excursions and activities are offered, such as trips to Holiday Park or the Miramar swimming pool. Once a year, they also go a little further afield for a few days; in recent years, they have taken the children to a farm, the Baltic Sea and Poland. International meetings are also planned with young people. The family day trips in the summer vacations are now a classic.
