What parents can expect from this daycare center:

The Nesthäkchen e.V. association has been running a daycare center in a renovated villa with its own garden in Wiesbaden since 1994. Our aim is to enable children to work by providing qualified childcare. We therefore only offer full-day places. We are open daily from 7:30-16:45, on Fridays until 15:00. Lunch is provided by the kitchen of the Interessengemeinschaft für Behinderte (IFB). After lunch, the children have the opportunity to take a nap and can play outside in our garden every day. In the toddler group, 10 children between the ages of 1 and 3 are looked after by two teachers. In addition to sitting circles together with songs and singing games, the children have many opportunities to gain experience with a wide variety of materials in small groups while doing handicrafts and painting or simply to withdraw alone or with others with a book or toy. Weather permitting, we take a short walk every day or go into our garden. In the kindergarten group, 21 children between the ages of 3 and 6 are looked after by two teachers. After the daily sitting circle in the morning, there is enough space for free play, independent handicrafts and painting and handling Montessori materials, in addition to a wide range of activities. Music school, the wood workshop, gymnastics and the hiking day are fixed parts of the weekly routine. The kindergarten children also go outside at least once a day. Our group rooms are cleaned daily by a cleaner. Nevertheless, a small amount of parental help is required. Parents can choose to take on either cleaning or washing-up duties. They then come to clean at the weekend or on a weekday at lunchtime to load and unload the dishwasher. Every last Tuesday of the month, except during our vacation periods, there is a tour at 3 pm.
