At the B2B event "m&i Healthcare London 2024", the Convention Wiesbaden team was able to gain valuable insights into the current challenges facing event planners and congress organizers. A key issue facing congress planners and agencies is the increasing competition for medical events and the dwindling availability of venues that meet compliance guidelines and are attractive in terms of accessibility and cost.

Major cities and hotspots in particular are in high demand and sometimes command very high prices due to their position. Smaller conference destinations, so-called "hidden gems", could benefit from this, as they are less well-known, more readily available and often cheaper in terms of the total sum of all cost items. These destinations also often arouse curiosity and increase the willingness of event participants to attend.

In discussions with PCOs, event agencies, congress planners and representatives of medical societies from the UK, Spain, Italy and, above all, the DACH region, the Convention Wiesbaden team was able to convince them of the advantages of Wiesbaden as a congress location and the RheinMain CongressCenter. In particular, the easy accessibility from Frankfurt Airport to Wiesbaden, the green cityscape, the implementation of sustainability concepts and the still relatively unknown destination aroused great interest among the meeting partners.
