Thanks to election helpers
After the Bundestag election on Sunday, February 23, Lord Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende and Maral Koohestanian, the responsible head of the electoral office, would like to thank all electoral assistants.
"My heartfelt thanks go to all the volunteer electoral assistants whose commitment made this early election possible in the first place. They sacrificed their free time and actively ensured that the election ran fairly, transparently and smoothly. Their commitment is an indispensable contribution to our democracy," emphasized Mayor Mende.
The responsible department head Koohestanian adds: "Thanks to the dedicated cooperation of numerous citizens, the election in Wiesbaden could once again be held reliably. Elections are also a logistical challenge for the administration. I would therefore also like to thank the administrative staff for their professional work. An election is always teamwork - and this team worked together excellently."
She continues: "Numerous volunteers have already registered for the upcoming mayoral election on March 9 and a possible run-off election on March 30. There is so much interest in electoral volunteering that not everyone can be deployed - this commitment to our democracy is simply fantastic."
