The Roman Limes between the Rhine and Danube has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for 20 years. But what does that mean? And what does Wiesbaden have to do with it? In addition to answering these questions, we also take a look at the history and development of the Roman frontier. What was life like for soldiers at the Limes and how did they get on with the neighboring Germanic tribes?
