It is the compilation of all estimated income and all planned expenses of the city as well as all receipts and payments that the city is likely to need to fulfill its tasks in the upcoming budget.

It therefore sets out the financial framework conditions for the city. As part of the budget bylaws, the budget forms the basis for the city's financial and budgetary management.

The budget bylaws and the budget plan are adopted by the City Council of the State Capital of Wiesbaden, approved by the supervisory authority and published here in parallel with the public presentation of the budget.
