Senior citizens' council election

Next election date: 2028.

Ballot paper
The senior citizens' council election will take place in 2028.

Every four years in October, senior citizens who are entitled to vote elect their representative body.

The basis for the election of the Seniors' Advisory Council is a resolution passed by the City Council.

The Seniors' Advisory Council consists of 21 directly elected members who represent the interests of all older Wiesbaden residents vis-à-vis the City Assembly, the City Council, the administration and the public. All persons who have reached the age of 60 on election day are eligible to vote, regardless of their nationality.

The election to the Seniors' Advisory Council is conducted exclusively by postal vote. This means that every eligible voter receives postal voting documents sent to their home and can take part in the election by returning the postal voting documents.
