Bahá'i Center Wiesbaden
The Bahá'í Center Wiesbaden has been located on the second floor of the Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring 50 building since 1983. The community meets there every 19 days for its monthly assembly, which the Bahá'ís call the "Nineteen Day Festival". The worldwide Bahá'í religion is considered the youngest world religion. It is based on the writings of the founder of the religion, Bahá'u'lláh (1817-1892). At its heart is the belief in the unity of humanity in its diversity.
The majority of the currently approx. 8 million followers live mainly in India, Africa, South and North America. The Bahá'í International Community (BIC) has been recognized by the United Nations as a non-governmental organization since 1948 and has had consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations since 1970 and consultative status with the United Nations Children's Fund since 1976.
