Inclusive cultural offerings - visually impaired people
Information about cultural events for visually impaired people.
With regard to low-barrier offers for blind and visually impaired people, the Wiesbaden Cultural Office is in close contact with the Wiesbaden district group of the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and with the local group of the Pro Retina e. V. association. Together, we are trying to make Wiesbaden's cultural offerings more accessible for visually impaired people. This concerns both the structural accessibility of our cultural institutions and the accessibility of the content. For example, the Caligari Cinema is barrier-free and has films with audio description in its program. The European Youth Circus Festival was also made accessible to blind and visually impaired audiences for the first time in 2024 with a live audio description.
Here we inform you about our offers.
