The organization/association/cultural practitioner must be headquartered or have its place of activity in Wiesbaden and the registered offer must have an artistic or intercultural focus.

The reason for becoming active in the areas of integration and culture was the results of the 2016 study on the use of cultural institutions, which showed that people with a migrant background are underrepresented in the audiences of art and cultural institutions. As a result, several workshops were held in the years 2017 to 2019 to collect possible improvements and ideas. The necessary structures for opening up cultural life in Wiesbaden were discussed, as well as obstacles to the opening-up process. The outcome of the negotiations was that the visibility of cultural offerings should be improved and that there should be a platform for cooperation and exchange. As a result, the platform wi-wer-was was launched in 2023 with an editorial group of local associations and cultural professionals.
