Culture park
One of the most important inner-city developments is the creation of the leisure oasis to the south of the congress parking lot at the main railway station between Murnaustraße and the railroad tracks. The facility has been continuously developed since 2009.
Creativity, leisure and remembrance culture
The Kulturpark Wiesbaden is a unique place where culture, leisure and history come together in a special way. Located right next to the Schlachthof cultural center, the spacious green area offers space for recreation, sport and creative development.
The park-like design with wide lawns and a variety of seating options invites you to linger. The varied planting gives the park an open, lively character. Numerous leisure facilities such as legal graffiti areas, free electric barbecue stations, a skate park, a boules area, a basketball court and a calisthenics facility make the Kulturpark a popular meeting place for all generations. Sanitary facilities are also available.
Schlachthof cultural center and event rooms
The Schlachthof cultural center dominates the northern part of the park with its diverse program of concerts, festivals and cultural events. The offer is complemented by an event hall and restaurants in the former boiler house and water tower, which also serve as an administrative location for the cultural association.
Culture of remembrance: the deportation memorial
In addition to the lively cultural scene, the Kulturpark also offers space for remembrance. The deportation memorial commemorates the Wiesbaden Jews who were deported to Theresienstadt from the former platform ramp during the Nazi era. This place of silence and contemplation forms an impressive contrast to the dynamism of the leisure and culture park.
With its mixture of art, culture, sport and history, the Wiesbaden Cultural Park is a special meeting place and an important part of the city's urban development.
