In some residential complexes, the department for work with the elderly organizes daily lunches, events and offers, as well as advice for people aged 60 and over.

Offers in the city of Wiesbaden's retirement homes

In several residential complexes managed by the Tenancy Office, the Elderly Care department offers a wide range of additional services.

Lunch tables

This includes daily lunches, which are an important social meeting place for residents. These lunches usually take place from Monday to Friday. Lunch is freshly prepared every day by the Johanniter kitchen, which is subsidized by the city. The meals are not only tasty, but also balanced and healthy.

Meal vouchers for lunch can be conveniently purchased from the rental office. Please refer to the notice boards on site for the dates. You can register for lunch directly with the Johanniter, who are also responsible for the organization and implementation. For more information, please see the link below.

Events and offers

In addition to the lunch tables, the elderly care department organizes regular events. These include sociable coffee afternoons where residents can chat and make new contacts in a relaxed atmosphere. Memory training is also offered to promote and maintain the mental fitness of participants. Festive occasions include carnival and Christmas parties, which provide fun and variety in everyday life.

It is important to mention that many of these offers are sometimes offered at a discount after an income assessment. This means that people on lower incomes also have the opportunity to take part in these valuable activities.

Consulting

In addition, external consultation hours are held by the advice centers for independent living in old age. These consultation hours offer residents the opportunity to clarify individual questions and receive support in various areas of life. This ensures that older people in the residential complexes receive comprehensive care and are supported in their independence.
