Once a year, GereNETZ offers a vacation trip to Baasem in the Eifel region in cooperation with the Regional Diaconia. The trip is a relief offer for ten caring relatives.

The aim of this offer is to give those affected and their relatives the opportunity to relax together, to relieve the burden on relatives in their day-to-day care and to give them time for their own activities.

This year's trip to the Eifel will take place from July 6 to 12, 2025.

Once a month, our regulars' table for people with dementia and their relatives meets for lunch together. The focus is on mutual exchange and socializing. Our meeting place is 60/40 am Schlachthof, where the pleasant atmosphere is particularly conducive to chatting.

In cooperation with GereNETZ and the Wiesbaden Regional Deaconry, the Wiesbaden Museum offers art viewings of selected works for people with dementia and their relatives on four Saturdays a year. In a protected setting, participants are given the opportunity to exchange ideas and freely interpret the work to be viewed. Coffee and cake are offered at the end of the events.

It is important for people with dementia and their relatives to be able to enjoy participating in social life. They also want to make their leisure time varied and entertaining. Many things are easier in a group with like-minded people.

The Alzheimer's Society's "On the move" group program combines small activities in a friendly atmosphere with social interaction over lunch.

The weekly care groups for people with dementia run by the Regional Diaconia offer regular time relief and therefore free time for relatives and a sense of community and companionship for those affected. They are geared towards the special needs of people with dementia and, where possible, provide a caregiver for each guest.

As part of their offer of support in everyday life, the helpers from the Alzheimer Society's circle of helpers accompany people with dementia at home or in an inpatient setting on an hourly basis in order to relieve the burden on family members who provide care and support.
Where possible, the support is designed to be long-term and one helper is assigned to each person receiving care.

The Alzheimer's Society offers a group for men with dementia every two weeks.

The Regional Diaconia's Relatives' Café provides an opportunity to switch off from everyday care in a relaxed atmosphere, exchange experiences and discover ideas on how to make everyday care easier. The meetings take place every two weeks.

The Alzheimer's Society group is aimed at interested relatives of people with dementia who would like to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere with professional support.

The Alzheimer's Society group is for relatives of people with dementia who would like to exchange ideas with professional support and takes place in cooperation with the Antoniusheim. The meetings are twice a month.

With KESS ("Kreativ - Engagiert - Selbstbewusst - Selbstständig"), the Alzheimer's Association offers a group in which people with dementia before retirement age and their partners can be active together and talk about their feelings, worries and fears with other people affected.

The Alzheimer Society's "Tafelrunde" is a get-together for relatives of people with dementia before retirement age. The offer provides the opportunity to spend a pleasant evening in the company of people with the same condition, to think and laugh together.

Sport & Talk is an active offer from the Regional Diaconia for people with memory problems, cognitive impairments and incipient dementia.
