ELW: Effects of the warning strike
The service trade union ver.di has called on ELW employees to go on warning strike on Tuesday, March 11. A number of employees have already signaled that they will take part in the strike or that they do not intend to strike.
Therefore, no paper garbage cans will be emptied tomorrow in Wiesbaden. The affected households can place additional waste paper in boxes or bundles next to the waste paper bin on the next emptying date. The quantity must not exceed the volume of the bin.
In addition, there may be disruptions to the emptying of organic and residual waste garbage cans and the collection of bulky waste. As employees do not have to announce whether they will follow the strike call until tomorrow at the start of work, the exact extent is not yet known.
Up-to-date information will be available tomorrow from 8.30 a.m. at elw.de. As things stand at present, the recycling centers and the small collection point at the landfill will open tomorrow.
