Head: Camillo Huber-Braun

At the Urban Planning Office, we develop innovative spatial concepts for the city of tomorrow and, as the lead municipal planning authority, set the guidelines for the future development of the state capital of Wiesbaden.

The aim of the Wiesbaden Urban Planning Office is to set new standards in the fields of building culture, sustainability, mobility and in the area of social and climate-friendly spatial development. With various informal and formal plans for the city as a whole, districts, neighborhoods and individual areas, we prepare the decisions of the city council on urban development and urban renewal. The plans are intensively coordinated with politicians and accompanied by broad public relations work.

Important fields of work of the Urban Planning Office are urban development, including conceptual green and open space development and urban design, coordination with authorities at state and regional level and with neighboring municipalities, preparatory and binding urban land-use planning, urban development framework planning and the drafting of urban development contracts.
