The Wiesbaden Driver Licensing Authority is responsible for all matters relating to driving licenses and the approval of cab and hire car concessions.
In order to use the services of the Driver Licensing Authority, you must be registered with your main residence in Wiesbaden.

Many services can already be completed online.

Note on online services:
On 5 May 2025 from 6:00 a.m., until probably 6 May 2025 approx. 8:00 a.m., the online application will not be available or only available to a limited extent due to an update. This may mean that your online processes can be executed or entered, but probably not finally paid. Your application will probably not be transmitted to the driving license authority. We ask for your understanding

If all appointments are already booked, please try again in the following days, as appointments are made available daily between 6.30 and 7.30 a.m. where possible.

Driving bans fall under the supervision of the fines authority. Driving licenses cannot be handed in for safekeeping at the driving license authority.
