View of the permanent exhibition

The award-winning permanent exhibition presents the city's history with around 200 objects spanning a period of around 50,000 years. In the integrated exhibition Favorite Pieces, a favorite piece of a Wiesbaden citizen is presented in video formats in the epoch showcases. The historical overview reflects the diversity of the city's history: you can discover traces of battles from Roman times, lost places of longing, economic activity and much more. Models of the former cityscape are juxtaposed with pictorial visions of Wiesbaden. Short texts explain the exhibits as well as personal film testimonies.
