Information on school social work for young people

What exactly does school social work for young people do? What do they work on? Which projects are implemented? Why exactly these and what does it look like in practice?

School Social Work Youth provides answers to these and many other questions in its annual reports every two years.

The aim of the annual reports is to provide a detailed overview of the wide range of services and to report on special milestones and innovative projects. This also includes taking a critical look at the effectiveness of the offers and services. Do they achieve the goal of integrating young people professionally and socially in cooperation with schools, the Federal Employment Agency, the local job center and educational institutions? Is there demand for the services or do they need to be reconsidered and new ones developed?

The article "Performance standards of school social work for young people in Wiesbaden" describes the basis of school social work, which has existed in Wiesbaden for almost 50 years. How it has developed since 1977 and how it currently manages to reach around 7,000 pupils per year.

If you would like to know what this looks like in practice, we recommend the film "10 minutes of school social work", which will follow shortly.
