Classroom supervision serves as the basis for cooperation between the school and youth welfare services. School social workers regularly carry out classroom supervision in the year groups once a week. Together with the class leaders, children who could benefit from this program are assessed. A pupil profile sheet is used to record and assess social skills at the beginning and end of the school year. Pupils in years 2 to 4 can thus strengthen their social skills in small groups and improve their academic performance as a result. Close cooperation with parents and guardians is crucial. They register their child and support regular attendance. At the beginning and end of the school year, the level of development is discussed with them and a joint decision is made as to whether the child will continue with the program for another year.
